Welcoming Dr. Karoon Smbatt

Southwest Orlando Family Medicine is excited to introduce the newest addition to our Clinical Team! Karoon Smbatt, MD was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, where she attended medical school at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. Dr. Smbatt completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Beaumont Health in Michigan, serving as Chief Resident, before moving to Central Florida. Dr. Smbatt focuses on preventive medicine, as well as diabetes, cardiovascular and chronic lung diseases, and women’s health.

Involved in a variety of volunteer efforts, Dr. Smbatt also enjoys spending time with family, traveling, visiting the beach, yoga and music. Dr. Smbatt is fluent in English, French, Armenian and Arabic.
